Beauty: Favorite Brow Products

#BrowsOnFleek - Or are they? I’ve come to find, as a Beauty Professional, that eyebrows seem to be one of the most frustrating and confusing things for clients. Do you start with finding your perfect shape? Or are brow products the thing that will allow you to get the perfect shape? Which comes first…

I’m here to help recommend some of my favorite brow products for a wide range of shapes.

Whether you want clean and cut or fluffy and natural, I’ve got you covered. *AD Affiliate links included*

Brow Pencil: Oh where to begin with pencils.. I first learned to do brows with them and to be quite honest, I was TERRIBLE with them. Now that they make pencils that are angled, smaller and with a wider color range, I would consider going back to using a pencil because it is an extremely effective way to fill in your brows. Regardless if yours are naturally thick or thin, brow pencils will get the job done.

Anastasia Brow Whiz ($23) I love how thin this product is! You can get a full filled in brow or small hairlike strokes, whichever you prefer. I used to use the traditional pencils but I found they would break, dry out or I couldn’t get the pencil to be as precise as I was hoping for.

Brow Powder: When I discovered brow powder, it changed the game for me as a Makeup Artist. The fact that I had a wide range of shades for every complexion and hair tone, expanded my artistry and was easy on my pocketbook.

Senna Brow Book ($88) Wide range of highly pigmented colors that also includes two brow highlights and a pomade.

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Palette ($29) - If you aren’t looking for such a wide range of colors, I recommend this palette! It is meant to be a beautiful matte shadow palette but I love using it for brows.

Brow Gel: Brow gel is the quickest and easiest way to define brows, by far. Essentially a mascara for your eyebrows, you’d be hard pressed to mess up applying this product!

Milk Makeup Kush Fiber Brow Gel ($20)

Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel ($22)

Glossier Boy Brow ($16)

Brow Pen: Brow pens are a recent addition to my makeup bag and I must say they revolutionized the way I apply my eyebrows. With a precise tip like a felt pen, you can achieve truly natural hair like strokes with this product. With a little practice, I can promise you, you will never look back.

Glossier Brow Flick ($18)

Brow Stencils: Anastasia Brow Stencils ($20)

Keeping your brows in place?

Pomade: Pomades are meant to deposit pigment and keep the hair in place. Quite the two for one if you ask me! Pro is that you can get a clean, precise shape. Con is that pomades are a little more time intensive because you literally need to create the shape of your brow.

e.l.f. Lock On Liner ($4)

MAC Fluidline Brow ($21)

Gel: I love a good clear brow gel! I prefer the cheap and simple. I haven’t been that impressed by any high end clear brow product, so Maybelline has remained a favorite.

Maybelline Clear Brow Gel ($4)

For more unruly brows, soap won’t cut it. I’ve seen clear lash glue used as an option, but be aware that you will need to remove with makeup remover every night. TAKE CARE and be sure to do a patch test before using any products on the face.
