Beauty: December Favorites

IMG_4848.JPG

Well December was a quite a doozy! Between prepping for my parents driving to visit us, finishing off small updates around the house and preparing for a new puppy to arrive just in time for the holidays, things were lined up to get pretty crazy (in the best way possible!). I found sanity in a new nighttime routine including a few of the products that made this months favorites list. When everything else in the world is up in the air, I try to focus on one small part of my life having consistency which prevents me from becoming too overwhelmed. The smell of the Aesop Body Wash in the shower on a natural sea sponge is an absolute dream! Not to mention using the Cowshed Cosy Body Oil directly before getting into bed has become crucial in setting up a restful night of sleep. My husband has even started to be soothed just by the smell of the oil when I use it. Let me know if you try any of these or already love them in the comments below!

Aesop Body Wash ($45) The mixture of Geranium, Mandarin Rind and Bergamot are THE trifecta of perfection while showering. We were running out of our tried and true Olay Moisturizing Body Wash and I was searching for a product to make the shower experience more lovely.

To be quite honest our current shower situation is terrible because the actual space isn’t tall/big enough to fit us yet (both my husband and I are over 6 ft tall). It is SO cold and just an all around bummer to use, which impacts me greatly because the shower is where I go to reset when having a rough go of it.

Being able to lather up one pump of this dreamy cleanser into a sponge has revived shower time!

Cowshed Body Oil ($38) - I bumped into this body oil while on holiday in Spain. My mother and I were staying at the SoHo House in Barcelona as a nice treat and they stock all the rooms with a full selection of Cowshed products. I absolutely fell in love and finally around a year later, I purchased it! I am always hesitant when adding fragrant skincare, but this oil hasn’t caused me any trouble so for that, I’m already in love. It is very light, absorbs quickly and relaxes me so I’ve taken to applying it directly before bed. Literally its what dreams are made of!

Kitsch Hair Clips ($12) - These cutie pie clips are some of my favorites! I have taken to adding fashionable bits to my hair (even if I’m the only one seeing them) and it makes any style feel special. As a grown woman, I didn’t think I would be adding accessories to my hair but with clips this chic, how can I not?

Nars Liquid Lip.png

NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment ($26) - I have been on an endless search for a long lasting liquid lipstick that isn’t super drying. Enter NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment. They have around 25 colors to choose from and my current favorite is Somebody to Love which is a rosy brown (I am wearing it in the picture above!). I am excited to try their brown as I’ve been on the hunt for a gorgeous brown toned lipstick! Cross your fingers for me.

Make Up For Ever Eye Lip & Brow Pencils ($18) - In addition to the liquid lipstick pictured above, I lined my lips with the Endless Cacao MUFE pencil. I’m also wearing the pencil Limitless Brown smudged on my lash line. These pencils are long wearing but very creamy to apply and I also love that they are so versatile.

Tweezerman Scissors ($19) - Tweezerman products won me over the moment I tried my first pair of tweezers. They have an amazing warranty and are quite well made. These scissors are very sharp and thin so you can get a precise cut! I use these often for myself, but funnily enough I use them more on my husbands brows. Always looking out for each other. *teehee*
