Beauty: Favorite Lip Care for Fine Lines & Hydration
Lets talk lips… One of my favorite features on my face have been subject to years of mistreatment, from smoking cigarettes (quit over three years ago and haven’t looked back!), sun exposure, and just general neglect. Now into my thirties I am beginning to see some of the consequences of these actions. Granted I have been using an SPF lip balm on my lips since I was 18, smoking for nearly ten years has caused some fine lines so I started searching for products to help combat fine lines while giving lots of hydration.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($24) This is a little tub of magic and worth every. single. penny. It is an overnight mask that gives you baby soft lips in the morning. I have also noticed significant softening of fine lines on and around my lips.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm ($22) I was pointed to this product from an artist friend of mine and was pleasantly surprised. I keep one in my car because for some reason my lips are always chapped in the car and I never have proper solution for it. Enter Summer Fridays. *Heads up, since the tube is overfilled to ensure you’re getting your moneys worth, when first opening the product expect too much lip balm to come out of the package.*
Fresh Sugar Advanced Lip Therapy Treatment ($26) My tried and true treatment! I have always been a fan of Fresh’s lip products, but this is infused with Sea Fennel (helps smooth fine lines), Sugar (natural humectant) and Orange Extract (antioxidant that helps protect lips from pollution etc) making it an absolute treasure.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy ($6.79) Good ol’ trusty Aquaphor. I heard Beyonce slathers her face in this every night so I immediately went out and bought it. Talk about good priced hydration!
